I'm easy going, happy, welcoming and interested. Meeting new people and learning about them is one of my favorite things.

Kindness and a couch. I try to be generous, helpful and warm as a rule.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only surfed once (amazingly generous family) and nearly every person I've hosted has been really fun to be around, it's why I look forward to new guests.

Interests

I like to snowboard, make stained glass windows, cook, geocache, read, play, play, play, hike with the dog, and greedily learn anything new.

Music, Movies, and Books

movies:
stardust, stranger than fiction, good independent films, foreign films, comedies; mostly anything but horror and war movies.

music:
Jack Johnson, Shakey Graves, Ali Farka Toure, Louise Armstrong, Nina Simone, Bebe, Manu Chao, 'Pushing through pavement' by the Polish Ambassador, bluegrass, generally mellow melodic stuff with good rhythms. I have a soft spot for bagpipes, music in languages other than English, and deep voices.

books:
I read almost entirely fiction: scifi, mysteries, juv. fiction when life is overwhelming. I listen to lots of books on tape while making windows. Fav. authors: Octavia Butler, Steven Gould, Carl Hiaasen, Charles DeLint

it's perhaps revealing to say I'm a habitual attendee of Burningman and will enjoy talking story with you about many amazing times there.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would be happy to teach a massage technique or two. I can let someone try making a little stained glass window or at least show them how it's done.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Thoughtfulness and a true desire to make you very, very happy you took me in. I love to cook and am up for any adventure. I can take your picture with a walnut (I learned that from another surfer)!
