Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Sam: I'm traveling over land from Iran to Japan, making photographs for a very large body of work and future book, while taking in as much as I can on the way and meeting and photographing as many good people as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Years ago, me and my friend Jamie used this to couch surf in Nantes (France), Montreal, Quebec, New Brunswick, Maine, and Boston, as we traveled through America.
Interests
Sam: I spend most of my time wandering and taking photographs or on the internet researching obsessively things I'll never buy so as to not go outside and take photos. Recently I've been trying to branch out a bit so I'm also quite interested in basketball, football, I like reading about physics but don't understand any of it. I find I don't read books anymore which is a shame and after a 10 year hiatus from computer games, I really want to buy a Nintendo switch and sink endless hours into Zelda. Also learning Japanese.

Music, Movies, and Books
Sam:
Music: these days I mostly listen to Internet mix tapes by the likes of Chances with Wolves.
Movies: Off the top of my head, 'In the mood for love', 'Moon' and 'a story of Yonosuke'
Books: a book that always comes to mind is 'The Tin Drum' and more recently, I really enjoyed the 'Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage' by Murakami
