About Me

ABOUT ME

My friends might say a lot of things about me, but in describing me they would probably say that I am vegetarian, I like sweets, I work hard, I care a lot about the environment, I am adventurous, caring, and loyal, I like kids and have been teaching for three years, and that I am easy going.

Interests

I enjoying hiking and walking in the outdoors. I never get sick of being in nature. I enjoy taking photographs, cooking and baking, learning about new cultures and especially learning new languages. I also really like writing and hope to have more time to write in the future. Until recently, I spent most of my time working in a school and taking classes in special education, but I squeezed in time to help coach a soccer team as well as spend time with my family and friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most awe inspiring things I ever have seen was during a vacation in Hawaii. I went on a dinner cruise along the Napali Coast of Kauai. I was standing at the bow of the boat with a few freinds when a pod of nearly twenty dolphins surrounded the boat and began playing in the crests of our wake. The dolphins sped along in groups of two and three, crossing back and forth infront of the boat, jumping, and flipping in the air. It was truely awesome and something I will not soon forget.

Another moment which continues to give me an adrenaline rush was during my time in Italy. I was with a few friends in the Cinque Terre and we found a good spot to go cliff jumping. I remember standing on the sharp rocks, holding onto the railing behind me. Looking down the steep cliff into the crystal blue water nearly fifty feet below, I had trouble letting go. However, I do not back out of things easily, so I took a breath and lept. I fell for such a long time that the sensation in my stomach went away. Then I smacked into the water and swam up from the cold dark depth with a smile on my face. It was an adrenaline rush that still gets me jittery.
