ABOUT ME

Artist, experimental photographer, sculptor, art writer. I make a living from my art and have both a commercial and fine art practice. I run the Sussex Artists Club in Brighton and write the monthly art column for Absolute magazine. There are pages and pages about me on the web, which feels a bit intrusive and intimidating at times! PHILOSOPHY

I try to tread gently on the earth. Not so easy when you use a load of nasty chemicals in your work! :( My art is what matters to me. I have to make things. Some of it is very political. I used to work in grass roots green organisations and on a peace boat. That experience certainly informs some of my work. On the other hand some of my work is purely self indulgent, whimsical or ridiculous!

I'm keen to learn new things. Travel is great because everything is new and you see the world with childish wonder. That is real magic.

I have hosted and surfed and will do again in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first surfing experience with a lovely couple who I'm sure will now come and visit me in Brighton. So that was good. I hosted someone for 10 days while they waited for university accommodation. We became mates. Great way to make new friends.

Centres d'intérêt

As an artist I guess work and fun are pretty much the same thing. I travel a lot, I enjoy cooking and good wine, I cycle, write and run my businesses. I like to learn about new places and cultures, particularly art, wine and food cultures of the places I visit.

I need a one female model from each country in the world for my latest ongoing project. Couchsurfing looks like a great way to ask people as they pass through the UK.
