ABOUT ME
I would describe myself as laid back, curious, and adventure-seeking. I am beginning graduate studies at Northwestern University in Chicago in the fall of 2007. I really enjoy good conversations with intelligent and interesting people. Music occupies an enormous part of my life, as I have been playing the guitar now for almost 10 years. I especially love jazz and progressive rock, but I enjoy anything that is unique and possesses musical integrity. I tend to read a lot. And drink. A lot.
PHILOSOPHY
Learn as much as I can, and have as much fun as possible while doing it.
Interests
jazz, philosophy, literature, life in general, science, modernist art, modernism in general, ancient civilizations, traveling and seeing more of this world we live in, the way different cultures interact and affect one another, aesthetics, history

Music, Movies, and Books
Some movies which I hold in particularly high esteem: The Usual Suspects, The Godfather part I and II, American Psycho, Adaptation, Heat, The Big Lebowski, Snatch, Memento
Books: The Brothers Karamazov, The Black Prince, 1984, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, White Noise, Dune
Music: far too much to list, but my all-time favorites are probably Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, with an honorable mention going to the Allman Brothers.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to discuss politics and/or political philosophy with anyone who's interested. Affecting real social and political change always begins through the sharing of powerful ideas between diverse groups of people.
