CURRENT MISSION
ABOUT ME
I went travelling around Asia and New Zealand before University and got the travel bug. Since then I have spent three years at Uni doing multimedia and unfortunately realised that wasn't for me.
So I ended up making a big move to Australia to try my luck at getting work and settling down out there. Well I got work ok but the settling down didn't happen. Afterwards I travelled to Brazil for the World Cup and then spent 5 months travelling the rest of South America. After that I decided I had to go back to Brazil, so I got a CELTA qualification and in February 2016 and I moved and lived in Belo Horizonte for 4 months teaching English. In June I went to Rio for the Olympics, making that my second Olympics as well as my second World Cup (I was in South Africa WC in 2010 and London in 2012).
I returned to England for a year and got a job in retail before soon realising that my heart was still longing for the fun and friendliness of Brazil so in July 2017 I moved back to Belo Horizonte again and stayed 8 months this time. Even my family came out to visit me and we travelled around Brazil for 2 weeks. It was great to show them a different type of holiday and culture.
In July 2018 I proudly completed my World Cup hattrick by spending about 10 days in Moscow Russia, where I couchsurfed the whole time. It was a very spontaneous trip which I enjoyed a lot and while I was there I even got to see one of my favourite ever bands live - Guns N Roses (with Axel, Slash and Duff!)
Currently (April 2019) I am part of an Erasmus programme that has sent me to Seville, Spain for three months to work as an English teacher and to learn a bit of Spanish.
Next year I plan to get my Olympics hattrick by doing a work n holiday visa in Japan.
PHILOSOPHY
There are still good people out there in the world...be one of them! :)
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately I'm rarely in one place long enough to host and when I am in England I live with my parents and grandmother so hosting is not really an option. But I am available for meeting up and hanging out :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had three experiences staying with someone and three experiences meeting up with someone for the day. I thoroughly enjoyed it on all occasions. I also have several friends that have been a bit more involved in CouchSurfing than I have so I know what it's all about and hope to replicate their fun and success with it soon. I want to be involved more but as you all know it's quite hard to get invited when you first start. Hopefully my CouchSurfing experience will snowball and soon and I'll have a lot more to write about in here.
Interessen
I love sports; football, darts and NFL in particular. (As you can see from my profile, World Cup and Olympics are my favourite things. I also went to the 2016 European Championships in France)
I like to go out with groups of friends but also very happy sitting at home watching a film with a cup of tea and one or two close friends.
Always want to meet more people and discover knew things i.e places, music, food and of course the people themselves and did I mention food? ;)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Bathing elephants in Thailand was the most fun thing I have ever done! Seeing these giant creatures being so playful and having such a great time was such a fun and rewarding experience. My elephant was a bit misbehaved and mischievous which made it all the more fun :)
Lehren, lernen, teilen
Everyday is a school day.
Some things can't be learnt from a book or even Google, only by meeting other people and trying new things.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
Obviously I have a lot of travel stories and advice that I am happy to share and listen to! I'll show a big interest in your culture, even as much as trying to learn some of the language if different from English. I love to talk about sports/films/series. And I am a pretty good cook so am happy to cook for my hosts or teach them a dish and I'm definitely up for learning how to cook something traditional from the country I am staying in.
I am honest and open and very respectable towards people and their homes and never over step a boundary. I am very easy to handle in that I don't require much to be satisfied and I put myself at the convenience of others. I am actually quite shy and despite all the travelling I have done, I am not as outgoing as it may seem haha but I am working on that :) I am always open for suggestions and I am flexible with my time to make things as easy for my host as possible.
Hope you've enjoyed reading this and I hope to see you soon :)
