Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to learn as much as possible about the people that I meet in my day to day life, humanity is the most interesting film.
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Vancouver, and being of west african descent in such a place has definitely had a marked impact on me. I love all things creative, and I am exceedingly curious, I love to figure people out, but I love it even more when they surprise me. I'm silly, tough, and my mouth gets the best of me sometimes, but at heart I'm a pretty affectionate person, and I love making friends.
PHILOSOPHY
Right now this instant is the only thing we can be sure of.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been surfing, but I'm still pretty new at this, although soon I'm going to stop and settle down, and I can't wait to host some surfers then! I thought that this would be a great way to meet other people all around the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only been to one couchsurfing event in Vancouver, but it was so much fun! Such an interesting community.
Interests
I love painting, writing, reading, I write a blog, I'm hoping to eventually go into journalism or communications someday, but for now I do it for myself. I love comedy also, still trying to work up the courage to do standup... we'll see.

Music, Movies, and Books
My film tastes are fairly eclectic, I love Kubrick, Gregg Araki, Bertolucci, alongside Sophia Coppola, Wes Anderson, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Julian Schnabel, Spike Jonze, and Tarantino. The list goes on. I live my life in movies. It's the only thing I can be certain I want to do in my life. My other interests you can just assume are appropriately progressive and bohemian for your tastes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to Brazil, Tanzania, Cote D'Ivoire, most of the United States. I once toured a play around the Gaspesie peninsula. I've nearly drowned three times. I once looked a lion full in the face in the wild, one foot away.
Teach, Learn, Share
I draw and paint. I speak french. I am in the process of learning how to freestyle rap. It's interestingly sprouting from a burgeoning hippie hop movement on the west coast right now. I'd love to learn spanish, or some other kind of physical skill. An instrument? Movie recommendations? I'd like to learn how to scratch. That'd be pretty sweet. Scratch as in DJ, not scratch as in tattoo. Or maybe that too. I can share bracelets, and I used to work at a fusian restaurant, so I cook half decently also.
