About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to see the world!! I'm trying to see everywhere through a locals eyes.

ABOUT ME

My nickname during university was Gigs. This was nothing to do with the welsh footballer, but (embarrassingly) short for giggles. This is because of my high tendency to laugh! Apart from maybe too much laughing, I am very outgoing, I like to meet people, see new places and do new things.

Interests

As I am writing this, I am working as a ski instructor in Hakuba, Japan. I am here due to my love for experiencing and immersing myself in new cultures.. as well as winter sports! I love traveling and seeing the world, as well trying to be outdoors and active as much as I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing that really stands out for me is seeing the Nozawa Onsen fire festival in Japan. This was a truly crazy Japanese festival experience, involving a lot of drunk Japanese people running around with flaming sticks and trying to burn down a shrine with a bunch of more drunk people sitting on top of it!
Cape Tribulation in Queensland, Australia, has to be one of the most amazing places that I have ever been. It is where the rainforest meets the sea, with a stretch of pristine beautiful beach in between. I will never forget the moment that I walked through the forest and first saw that beach!
I spent a couple of days trekking in Sapa, Vietnam. It has to be one of the most beautiful and awe inspiring places that I have ever been to. All of the mountains as far as you can see are covered in amazing rice terraces. Just to stand there and look at the views will take your breath away.
