Music, Movies, and Books

i love different types of music but mostly I prefer authentic recordings from all over the world, from ahmad zahir to soviet criminal songs. I love hip-hop (mostly russian) and have a rich knowledge about russian underground music. My favourite music artists among others are Ahmad Zahir, Nashenas, Akhmad Khan Lala, Nakhid Akhtar, Lidush Khabib, Timur Mutsuraev, Egor Letov, Arkady Severny, The Peanuts, Kourosh Yaghmaei, Croatian Amor, Sensational, Dalek, Bohren & der Club Of Gore, Sonic Youth, Cremation Lily etc.
I'm not deep into cinema but I have some favourite movies - Stalker, Heaven Can Wait, Manhattan, Zorba The Greek, Catch-22 etc. Quite eclectic mix of classics, Bollywood and Soviet films.
My favourite writers are Andrey Platonov, Heinrich Boll, Thomas Bernhardt.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many of them - hitch-hiking in Afghanistan, travelling in the war zones, meeting with fantastic people

2. When I was in Iran in the Holy month of Ramazan I got in a car accident with a drunk driver
3. When I was in Afghanistan for the first time the policeman on the road check post read the word "tourist" on my visa as "terrorist"

Teach, Learn, Share

I can't call myself a very talkative person, but it's not because of my character. So many people just want to chat instead of getting really useful knowledge from the others!
If I'm interested in you, I can give you almost everything that you want.
If you're coming in Moscow I can guide you and show you non-tourist side of the city. I can also give you recommendations about other places in Russia and former USSR and also in Central Asia.
For all (especially citizens of Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan) - I can provide you invitation to my country, it would be free for you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm quite young and currently I'm living with my Mom and sometimes with my GF. So I can't guarantee that you will be hosted, but I'll try to help you anyway, so it's not big problem.
I can give you any help with Russian language, simple food and lots of recommendations about places to see around. And so many funny travel stories :)
BUT quite often I'm on the road, so when I'm out there would be a sign "not accepting guests".

The rules of my house are the same as almost everywhere - just be polite and control yourself. I'm absolutely against alcohol and alcohol addicts. I'm smoking, so if you can't stand things like this you'd better find another host. If you have any problems with cats, that could be also not good for you.

I host immediately all people that I know personally and with whom I stayed and had positive experience. I host more often than usually people who are now doing big travel, foreigners, people interested in Central Asia, muslims and followers of different exotic faiths, because I'm really fascinated to listen about this.
I do not host people that are going to Moscow for non-travelling purpose, except those who are going to do visas here. If you're coming to Moscow for a concert, seeing relatives, girlfriend/boyfriend, searching for work, I'm not your host.
