About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Getting settled in a new town... CouchSurfers' help appreciated :))
ABOUT ME
I'm an entrepreneur at heart and I love creating new ventures. I've had my own web design company for two years and I'm still very much into Internet and computers. I have also worked in Equity Sales position at a Kiev-based brokerage company.
Having quit this pointless job in April 2009, I relocated 800 km west to Uzhhorod, a quiet town just on the border with Slovakia. Here I'm pursuing my new ventures and trying to find an occupation I truly like.
Another important facet of my life is music: DJing, jazz and classical. I'm constantly expanding my horizons; I used to play piano as a kid and I've had some considerable success as a club DJ here in Ukraine.
Finally, I'm pretty active in community work - I'm a member of Rotaract (part of the Rotary network). As of now, I'm the President of Rotaract Kiev club.
PHILOSOPHY
No guilt, no fear, live in the moment and try to squeeze as much happiness from every minute as possible. Also, I believe that life is a beautiful journey and that it's a crime to waste it in a dull job just because you have to "support yourself".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
A lot of my friends are active CS participants who have hosted guests and were hosted themselves a lot of times. I've used CouchSurfing just once so far, but I'm planning to become involved on a bigger scale!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I only surfed a couch once (that was in New York), but it was such a great experience that I decided to become an active host myself as soon as I move to Uzhhorod - which I did.

Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an avid fan of Psycho-Cybernetics, a teaching by a 1950s plastic surgeon by the name of Maxwell Maltz. Psycho-Cybernetics is a truly amazing book which explains how our mind works and how to stop it from self-sabotage as well as producing stress and unhappiness. I'd happily share these ideas if you're interested.
