ABOUT ME

I'm kinda quiet and keep to myself but I'm interested in your story and in what's going on with you. I'm better in a group than one-on-one. I'm pretty coordinated but I can't skate, ski or dance worth a damn. Because I almost always travel alone, I know I miss a lot. Maybe you'll steer me toward some of the missing stuff.

Some fine people put me up (and put up with me) in Cooperstown, NY, Montpelier, VT, West Providence, RI, Cambridge, MA, and Regensburg, Germany.

Interests

Being entertained, watching movies in a theater, going to plays, getting lost. Now that I don't move as well as I used to, I only watch sports instead of playing them. I finally got back on stage and did some acting again after spending 32 years coaching girls softball. I like to travel (surprise).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Four things have literally taken my breath away:
Kathy B___ when she spun around to be introduced to me on the train to St. Louis and I fell in love.
My daughter being plucked from the incision in my wife's abdomen and held almost Kunta Kinte-like by Dr. Johnson.
That first glimpse of Bryce Canyon as I walked from the parking lot.
The flat out speed of my brother's adopted greyhound when she was unleashed on a soccer field.
