About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Defeat boredom

ABOUT ME

I live with my boyfriend and our friend in Glasgow close to the city centre. I work at the Science Centre for an environmental outreach and teaching organisation, which means I spend more times in Wellies than in the office, just the way I like it! I love cooking, and would be excited to learn about new cooking styles, so I welcome anyone who can talk to me about food!

PHILOSOPHY

Sometimes Glass sparkles more than diamonds because it has more to prove.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed and hosted, and want to keep going.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had heard of CS through friend (now my housemate) and was planning a trip through Europe, it seemed like the perfect way to travel and it was. I have stayed with some lovely people and hope to keep the CS legacy going in my own corner of the world.

Interests

Bees is my big new thing, they are really very cool, and being a biologist anything to do with nature is a big plus. I am also a massive fan of cooking, North African being my favourite at present but I'm always looking for new favourite cuisines!

Music, Movies, and Books

Sci Fci, Terry Pratchett. I love escaping to other worlds in books and films, I'm keen on superhero films and most of my favorites have happy endings.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered in Malawi in a feeding centre for a month. I went there expecting a bit of a upsetting scene, although these kids had lost their parents and were starving, I have never met more cheerful and positive people. They were inspiring and really put my life into perspective.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well the obvious one is other biologists, I love hearing about the natural world where you come from. Really though I'm keen to try to learn anything you can tell me about yourself. In return I'll do my best to show you that St Andrews is more than three streets and a golf course.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Croatia, France, Hungary, Italy, Malawi, Poland, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Zambia

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
