About Me
Hi, I’m Ben from the Philippines. I graduated university in 2022 and currently work for a tech company in Manila. My job setup is hybrid, so once I complete my required office days, I have the freedom to work remotely from anywhere.
I have a wide range of hobbies. Right now, I’m learning French and Spanish. I enjoy running, watching movies and series, and listening to music. I also do graphic design and painting in my spare time. I love meeting new people and talking about anything under the sun. I know there’s so much to learn about the world, and I’m always eager to expand my knowledge and learn from others.
As a kid, my biggest dream was to travel the world. Now that I’m in my 20s, I’m excited to finally make it a reality. I’m especially drawn to backpacking, as it allows me to connect with local cultures and meet like-minded people along the way.
I consider myself sociable, independent, adventurous, open-minded, flexible, and easygoing. I’m adaptable in any situation, so you can count on me to be a respectful and easy guest.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m really looking forward to meeting locals, whether they were born there or have made it their home over time, as well as fellow travelers and new friends from around the world. I think couchsurfing is a fantastic way to fully experience new cultures and make genuine connections. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn from others’ backgrounds, share my own, and exchange language and culture. Meeting people who know a place well and have stories to share is, in my view, one of the best ways to learn and grow through travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year, I set off on my first solo backpacking trip. I expected to be alone, but I quickly found myself surrounded by incredible people from all over the world. I learned so much from their stories, their travel experiences, and their cultures. We explored new places, shared adventures, and created memories together. It was inspiring to connect with like-minded people and realize how much we all have in common. Solo traveling also gave me a chance to understand myself better—each experience added something new to my perspective.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know there’s so much out there that I haven’t experienced yet, but I’m always open and eager to learn new things. I’m especially interested in discovering different cultures, perspectives, and traditions. I consider myself open-minded, and I’d love to share what I do know, especially when it comes to art. Whether it’s painting, graphic design, or just exchanging ideas, I’m happy to contribute however I can!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’d love to share my story, culture, and language, as well as some of my interests like painting and graphic design. I’m also happy to help with chores or anything else you might need—just let me know! I believe in creating a positive exchange, so I’m here to contribute however I can.
