About Me
I am an average guy who loves travelling and photography. I enjoy good food, drinks and company mostly after long hikes or days spent on beach.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When visiting a country I would like to meet the local people, have fun with them and really explore the place I am staying at. One can get hardly immersed in the culture in a hotel resort where everything is designed for western tourists to feel like at home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year I climbed Pico del Teide (3,718m, Tenerife, Spain) to see the sunrise from the summit with my girlfriend. Watching the sun slowly climb over the sea was a beautiful reward after a difficult hike through rough terrain in total darkness. While the top of the mountain was already lit by the first beams the lower parts were still in darkness and the mountain of the Devil, as the local call it, was casting a menacing shadow over the ocean. We were warming our sore bodies in the first while the island beneath our feet was slowly waking up. As we walked down to the valley we saw the mountain releasing volcanic gases as if it was angry that we dared to enter the top.
Teach, Learn, Share
I will be happy to learn about your town, culture and language. I love travelling stories and can spend hour and hours talking about travels.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Although I am quite rusty I can help with learning English or with basic computer skills. I can also cook a good dinner and of course have a great evening with the host! :-)
