Hi people!

I´m Jan from Gütersloh, a filmmaker and photographer who loves traveling, exploring and making new friends abroad!

I´m a passionate snowboarder, I am also really into calisthenics and bodyweight fitness and I love hiking. (I lived in the Austrian mountains for some time)

When it comes to my biggest hobby (and also my job) filmmaking, I´m usually the one everyone is asking why he doesn´t sit down and enjoy the sunset or the nice panorama ... I´m the one taking all the pictures and videos because thats my way to enjoy the moment :)

I love cats and own a lovely one myself called Ferdi (Named after the Austrian King Franz Ferdinand)
I recently bought an old VW bus that I am planning go do a lot of roadtrips with, so if you´re into roadtripping and vanlife, hit me up with a message. Always love making friends with other vanlifers :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling and exploring new countries, meet new people and get to know new cultures.

My motivation is the nature, capturing the beauty of stunning landscapes with my camera and tell their stories in my films.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love electronic house music, but actually I don´t have a specific taste in music.
I also listen to rock, alternative, classic, pop and cinematic music. Im open for any interesting and cool music :)

One of my favorite movies is „The Beach" with Leonardo Dicaprio and I love the author Dan Brown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bought and old VW Bus with no experience and trying to bring it back to life with a couple of friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my skills and teach a little bit about Photography and Filmmaking but as this is nothing you can teach someone in one or two days, this will only be basics and a few tips.
