Resumen
Sobre mí
Hey everyone! I'm Jan, an upbeat explorer of everything new! I zigzagging through life, connecting the dots on the way, and trying to get a hang of what everyone is up to! : )
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
To meet people from different backgrounds, seeing and hearing their stories, getting to show and see local culture and subcultures and a certain, not-the-brochure, way to enjoy life, possibly learning something new and even life-changing in the process!
Intereses
I love making food, especially baking, I am always open for a civilized discussion regarding world-events, philosophical themes or anything for that matter, and I can never say no to a good party, especially if there's dancing to good music involved!

Música, películas y libros
My portable music machine contains a variety of music, but about half of it can be considered some sort of electronical gibberish. Trance has been a favorite for over half of my life, and alongside it everything from the depths of ambient and psychedelic to the twitching of minimal and drum and bass.
My favorite fictional books have to be the stories of Sherlock Holmes! Time and time again, I'm amazed, how O'Doyle can present the quirkyness, arrogance and the social skills in such a imaginable and sympathetic way.
Algo increíble que he hecho
Most of the funny stories that I have, could rather be described as pure stupidity than amazing, but nevertheless, after serving my time in the military, I decided that I would want to study in Germany. Now I had studied German in school for about 6 years, but we all know how languages learnt in school, but never used, end up right? I could barely muster up a sentence, but I packed my bags anyway. On the first day I realized "Shit, I can understand MAX 15% of what the lecturer is saying." Well, now, the Germans I meet on my travels mistake me for a German.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
Often being the token geek of the group, I have been seen as the tech-support for my family and friends, and I would be more than happy to extend this to my fellow Couchsurfers. If there is something I don't know how to do, I will find it out!
I am eager to learn, and share, stories and observations on what makes the world go around, and why things are the way they are. Revealing what's behind the curtain, so to say.
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
My help around the house, where I can and where it is needed, along with a view of life from the cold and northern Scandinavia, discussions and stories over a few beers or bottles of wine about the world and of course my share of bringing energy to the party! : )
