I´m Jan from Germany (Dortmund) and I used couchsurfing over a long period of time while traveling thru Canada. I surfed and hosted so I know both points of view and I can tell that surfers are the nicest persons you can meet. We had a couchsurf basement in Calgary where me and my roommate both hosted people the record was 8 at one time 😅 Btw I found Jesse my roommate in Canada via couchsurfing as well as a few good friends from all over the world.

I'm pretty easy going, it does not need much to make me happy while traveling.

I just want to meet new opend minded people and experience something new. The way travelling via couchsurfing is the best experience you can make especially when you stay with locals! You can learn from people and people can learn from you.
Actually since I started using couchsurfing I don't want to go back to the normal way of traveling via hotels for example. I think you can connect with people way better this way and have way more fun that's for sure. Over the 6 months me and my roommate hosted people nearly every day, we made a lot of friends from all over the world and the word boring was not used in that time.

兴趣

Love to ride mountainbikes over everything! Watching football (soccer) is also fun, especially Borussia Dortmund! Well then of course traveling to New places meet new people and have a good time in general.
Find some nice views while traveling, mostly after a good hike to a mountain peak, cause I'm definitely a mountain person.

I´m not a big book lover but i can watch movies and series nearly all the time. My favourite Genres are Thriller, Drama and Horror. My Music taste has a pretty wide range from electronic over hiphop to classic. But I hear electronic the most.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Lived in and out of a car when I was in the national parks or near a wallmart (it was a 18 yo Ford focus sedan) Camped in the backcountry of Canada. Had the best time when I was a broke traveller and met the kindest people ever because of this.
