I have always been a very active person, with many interests. Several years ago I have undergone brain surgery, which has left me with a slight disability that limits some of my activities (I can no longer bike or hike long distances, for example), but it has given me a wider perspective on life and has led me to appreciate even small everyday things. I have also more free time :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

When travelling, I have always avoided tourist centres and travel agencies. I prefer to meet people, talk to them, share in their way of life and discover random places. I would like to offer the same chance to others coming to my home town. And I want to continue the same way and CS is one of the options.

Among my favourite book authors are: Kurt Vonnegut, Kingsley Amis, Ray Bradbury, Terry Pratchett, Mika Waltari, Douglas Adams, Gabriel García Márquez and many others.
Some of my favourite movies are: Blade Runner, Brazil, The Godfather, Matrix I, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Life of Brian, Kurosawa's films and Czech movies from the New Wave of Czech cinema in the 60.
I like many kinds of music across many genres, from classical through jazz, classical rock, rhythm and blues, some punk music etc. I am not a big fan of hiphop and techno myself.
