Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing fits with my philosophy of travel. While I like doing some touristy things, traveling is much more meaningful when one meets local people. Locals give me a the real feel of a place. I am a student of culture, and I enjoy learning about the subtle and striking differences we all share.

Interests

Food. I will try almost anything.
Dancing. I am a contra dancer, Israeli Folk Dancer, and dabble in other forms. I'm a good follow, so can pick up most couple styles pretty quickly.
Theater and movies.
Camping, hiking, outdoor pursuits.I love my garden.

Music, Movies, and Books

I think my favorite genre is Reggie. I also like blues, jazz, Latin, western swing, rock, and light opera.
I am a fool for Sci-fi and fantasy, but like all kinds of things. Just give me a good idea to chew on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I work with special needs students in schools. The most amazing thing I do, is facilitate the teachers and children to learn new skills and improve the ones they have.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to think I offer good conversation, and can fit in well with most lifestyles. I am neat and clean, and fit in small spaces. I can afford to take you to take you out for something you like to eat, especially if you will teach me about a new cuisine to try.
