By profession, I am a PhD student in cancer research. By passion, I am a musician and a dancer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling should be about making memories and that is best done by meeting other people. So that's what I'm doing.

Interests

Playing guitar, dancing (salsa, swing, Latin/ballroom), traveling, programming, anything to do with water (the ocean, swimming, sailing, water gun fights, the usual).

My philosphy is that (nearly) everything is worth trying at least once, so I am always expanding on my interests and hobbies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books and movies: Fantasy, historical fiction and science fiction. I'm an absolute sucker for post-apocalyptic or dystopian settings.

Music: Guitars, mostly. I enjoy, in no particular order, bands like Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, Red Hot Chili Peppers, basically any band whose name can be turned into an acronym. I also enjoy electronic, (electro-)swing, and Spanish/Latin American/South American music (which brings us back to the guitars).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Spent a month backpacking through Thailand, sleeping on trains and taking a kayak through a mangrove forest in the Andaman Sea

- Drove through Luxembourg by car, enjoying the incredible roads, the impressive castles, and the beautiful city.

- A weekend in Paris, culminating in a wonderful evening on top of the Eifel Tower.
