Hi there, I'm Jan, a Czech-born architect working and living in the central part of the Netherlands. Working in a medieval city, and living in a quiet town on the edge of forests and heathlands.

I like traveling, photography, languages, and food. Small, unknown places are just as appealing to me as big cities. Also, I prefer slow, in-depth exploration of a country instead of hopping from one country to another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I often travel alone and being alone in a hotel room can be boring. I want to have a good chat with local people in the local language if possible, and create friendships in this way.

I am not an expert on literature or movies. Maybe I will read more in the future.

I like traditional music from Moravia, Slovakia and gypsy music, alternative rock, pop, some classical music, hiphop, and ska.
