ABOUT ME

there's 2 of us (well, soon there will be 3) Jan and Leentje, for almost 8 years we are a couple, we're young, open minded, extravert, respectful, music and movie minded, easy to talk to, we love to party, dance outside, walk around, draw on walls, travel a lot, cook for friends, eat sweet fruits, laugh every day, hug cats, think positive, be stupid, change the world and fly one day

PHILOSOPHY

we enjoy life as it is today, everything in life is temporary and going through different cycles is part of the process. you only live once and we try to enjoy it to the max by doing what we like the most. we like to travel alone and together, listen to old vinyl, draw on postcards, wonder around, discover new places, chill out on the beach, go crazy and send handwritten thank you notes to those who have helped us. positive energy can get you anywhere you want. we respect humans and take care of nature and animals. we try to produce less waste and eat biological. we're open minded and curious to meet and learn. but we also like to do nothing at all and just enjoy the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

we offer our big green couch, a sleeping bag or even sheet if needed, a good chat and warm home, party-advice and citytrip-tips, tourist and non-tourist info, coffee and cookies

We have a cat called Mega. He walks around the house and sleeps probably closeby the couch because he's like one of the super-social-kind-of-cats. So pleace take notice in case you're allergic to cats ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

we've hosted different kinds of people from all over the world and loved it! it's great to meet enthusiastic people, to get to know their way of living, meet their friends or family and hear about the places they are from or have been! or want to go of course :)

we like to give an impression of our hometown by showing our guests around if there is enough time for us

we loved to couchsurf the months when travelling Australia and New Zealand, it felt like home on the other side of the world

our hospitality it is not for people who expect a free hostel room or a place to crash, so please read our profile and only send a request if you're willing to meet us. tell us about yourself and why you picked us from the list.
try to take some time to fill in your profile properly and think about something more original then "I like to travel and meet new people" seriously...

also important: there are exceptions and emergencies, and we love spontanious actions but don't send a request at night to sleep over the same night, we're not connected 24/24 you know

Interests

good times with good people, talking and laughing, learning from one another, see the world piece by piece, even if it is by not moving and meeting people in your own living room, that also can feel like traveling

we also love to go to concerts and outdoor festivals

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

climbing the wayna picchu in Peru was extremely hard but so amazingly worth it

we jumped out of an airplane

road tripping New Zealand and the east coast of Australia was our best decision ever

learn how to dive and discover a whole new world under water made us even want to travel more

impossible to stick to one thing :))

Leentje is completely into cooking, so that's already easy to share :)
Jan knows a lot about belgian beers and whisky
