ABOUT ME

I am liberal, open-minded, calm, friendly, polite and patient, also kind of slow and confused at times, but quick if my mind is in the right place. I am definitely not a dumb person, but I don't consider myself to be that smart either - just a regular everyday normal guy who enjoys the simple things in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I plan to start going to regular CS meetings and night-outs in Tallinn to meet new people. If I'll get the roof of my cottage in the city suburbs fixed, I can also accommodate the people in need. If the time is right, I can introduce my home town as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've had a CouchSurfing experience with only one host in Charleroi, Belgium, but she was so kind and forthcoming with everything, so I got a helluva first impression. It is just impressive how great can people treat you even if you're a complete stranger to them.

Interests

I found my greatest passion early in life, so all of my interests are mostly associated with film and video: watching movies, tv-shows and sketches, visiting film festivals, creating videos, editing, sound design, doing special and visual effects and sometimes even writing scripts. When I'm not behind the screen, I like spending time with my gf, friends and relatives, listening to music, partying, playing all sorts of ballgames and jogging. I am also a part-time numismatic.

Movies: Cidade de Deus, Star Wars, El Mariachi, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Nolan's Batman trilogy, The Prestige, Magnolia, Amores Perros, There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men, Metropolis, The General, A Scanner Darkly, American Psycho, Irréversible, Crank, Moon, South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut (these are just the first things that popped into my head, I don't really have a top10 or anything - it all depends on the mood)

Music: mostly all kinds of electronic music (I love the endless possibilites of sounds and the fact that you're not limited to a certain tonality of a music instrument)

Books: "L'Etranger" by Camus; "Der Steppenwolf" by Hesse; "Der Funke Leben" by Remarque; "Mees, kes teadis ussisõnu" by Kivirähk

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing a crackling globe lightning enter through my summer cottage window, circle around the room and exit through the door was amazing enough.
