ABOUT ME

I DO NOT MIND copied unpersonalized couch requests because - unlike those who strictly refuse them and probably did not venture any long trip - know very well that pilgrims need to avoid spending their time thoroughly studying the hosts' profiles if they travel for a prolonged period and do not have time to contact all potential hosts before or during the trip!

I consider myself as a solitaire friendly tolerant optimist (optimist being a poorly informed person 😀).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Inspiring - it changed my view of world and people living out there.
It enabled me to meet lots of peculiar people whom I will remember till the end of my life and hopefully also after that!
The very best what I can still expect from couchurfing is meeting another unforgettable people both as a host and as a guest.
I have a single bad experience out of much more than 200 cases!

Interests

Ski all over the world all the year round, hunt for mushrooms in forests and parks, drink wine, fall asleep under a tree, send good vibes, search for beauty

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I skied in more than a "thousand" resorts in Andorra, Argentina (including Tierra del Fuego), Australia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Cyprus, Czech Rep., Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, USA and practised helicopter skiing in Switzerland, New Zealand and USA (including Alaska).
I found several rare mushroom species which are now exhibited in local museum.
Was released from detention by Hezbollah militia in Beirut during my ski trip to Lebanon.
Had to jump from a chair lift with skis fitted on my feet when forgotten there by the lift operators after the end of operating time when skiing in Austria because I did not carry a cell phone with me.
"Outlived" the communist totalitarian era in my country and can live to the fullest now, unfortunately not forever :-(

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I cannot teach you anything what you would like to learn except for some tricky Czech words like the longest one: "nejneobhospodařovávatelnějšími" (i.e. the least cultivable)
or a funny sentence "Strc prst skrz krk" by which l was welcomed by a host (knowing it from his previous Czech guest) in Chile.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good mood, true stories from my travels which you will hardly believe, opinions on everything, a typical (simple) Czech dish, my car, chocolates (in Europe)
