Overview
About Me
Hi!
I work as Kiwanis International staff, and I do also free lance work for the European programme Erasmus + and for the European Solidarity Corps. I give international youth work trainings, trainings to national agencies that grant projects like intercultural group exchanges for young people, trainings and seminars for youth workers, European voluntary Service (= going a year abroad for volunteering),...
And Kiwanis International is a service club that brings volunteers together to support projects and activities in the service of children around the world.
Aside my work, I'm a passionate scuba diver (even in winter in cold waters), and I'm a trumpet player.
I have been travelling quite a lot around Europe, and now it's time discover the rest of the world :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My work requires quite some travelling, working in international teams, working with people from all around Europe. I'm passionate about intercultural learning.
There are periods that I travel a lot, but there are also months that there are no travels scheduled for my work, and then I like to get the intercultural spirit at home.
Please take into account that - after some bad experiences - I don't host last minute requests anymore. I host only people with whom i can have a FB or WhatsApp chat in advance to understand the real CS motives, what kind of people i let into my house, and to avoid drunk lunatics that want to live on the costs of someone else.
Some bad experiences, lots of good experiences, so if your intentions are good, you are welcome.
