Hi guys! My name is Jan, coming from the Czech Republic. I have completed my bachelor's studies in Security Management, then travelled to several countries, mostly in Africa and the Middle East. Last almost two years I have been studying Arabic language in Sudan and Jordan, working as a tour guide in East Africa and building a pre-school in Kenya. I love traveling, meeting new people, discovering interesting places, learning different languages and cultures, tasting local food...:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all, it is always great pleasure for me to meet local people. Talk to them about different topics, ask them many questions :D about their country. I definitely don't want to "use" anybody to guide me around or so. No. I appreciate everything, every minute I can listen to some interesting stories or information about the country and its people. I am not that kind of visitor, who just stays at the beach. I like to go inside and get to know the place a bit deeper. So first of all, I just like to meet people. Secondly, if I get offered place to sleep, I can never turn away :D
