ABOUT ME

We are a Dutch / Chinese couple with a mixed child, born in 2010.
Jan is the Dutch and he went to China in 2005 to work there as an environmental consultant, starting a sort of 2nd life. Sunny was born on Hainan island, moved to Guangdong (Canton) at 4 years age, where she grew up. It happened in 2008 that Jan had to move to Guangzhou, where Sunny lived at that time. Would Jan not have had a rest outside the Tian he shopping mall and drinking a beer there, they would never have met. But Sunny asked Jan to make a photo of her with the wall decoration in the back ground. That was the start of their romance, love and marriage. In 2009 they moved to Shanghai where they got a lovely mixed Dutch-Chinese baby (Enya). After that, in 2010 they moved to Guangdong were they live in a relatively quiet town surrounded by nature. End of 2014 we decided to move to Europe and found a nice and quiet place in Oud-Turnhout, close to Turnhout, in Flanders,Belgium, where we live now and enjoy the European / Belgium life style.

We stayed at 2 places till now. We can also (soon) offer a room with bed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have good experience yet, when we had a trip to Europe, 2 years ago and we surfed 2 couches, 1 in Belgium en one in the Hague, NL. This way we met very kind and interesting people.

Interests

China and Chinese culture. European culture and habits too. And the food of course. Nice music. Travel. Meeting and knowing nice people. Sports too! I like running and run a lot.
