About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Knowing when to stop. Balancing work and leisure. Going back to travelling more. Love
ABOUT ME
Nerd, plant and landscape architecture enthusiast.
Currently my work takes me back to my homeland every summer while I spend my winters in Valencia, with my hubby. It can sometimes be quite mental to go switching between two fairly different cultures, languages, food, lifestyle but, actually, I love it. It keeps one's mind fresh and open to seeing that customs are many time dumb and one should be always ready to adapt. Jeez, I got all philosophical here.
Anyways ... I like nature, it makes me relax, and I like cities, because I also like hanging out with people :)) One can hang with people in the nature, true, but I prefer walking in a forest alone.
I cook, I am not able to repeat any recipe though, hhh. Pity, my creations are generally good, if I say so myself.

PHILOSOPHY
'Can we talk about it after lunch, please?'
Also, live and be responsible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Accepting couch-surfers when the time is right. Enjoying the stay with other fellow CSs, making the world a more open and friendly place, at least we try :)
When we agree to offer our sofa-bed we expect the same things we offer when we are the guests, be nice, spontaneous, bring some wine, feel at home, be independent but also be ready to share, we are not a hotel.
We are normally quite busy during the week, however, Renan works from home, so you don't normally have to leave early in the morning and stay away all day if you don't feel like it.
We usually travel in summer, so it might be hard to catch us home. Please send request in advance. And please, no copy/paste messages.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It feels so natural, all the world is full of friends to be discovered :) Surfers who landed on our couch were always a pleasant discovery and we found new friends. Also, hosted a kitchen surfing event once and it was just awesome.

Interests

When in Valencia I also teach English, it's fun. I am surrounded by people who, many time in their sixties, want to try new things, learn, seeing that makes happy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big sfi-fi, fantasy fan.
The classics: Asimov, Tolkien, Huxley, Aldiss, Adams, Lem

Music:
Ska, Reggae, Classical, Samba, Celtic, indie pop, yeshiva, it's a mess, I might like anything really

Movies:
The same as music I think.
Lately I've been binging on Brooklyn 99, Love, Death and Robots, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt ... juts to name a few.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing a scaffolding of the Jihlava church to the top and standing there above the highest spire, watching the city sleep at night.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have started meditating recently, thanx to a friend, whom I am grateful to. I am more aware. I am happy to share any of my life's experiences with you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like cooking, I like taking people to places they'd normally not stumble upon. You can do the tourist stuff using an app.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Iran, Netherlands, Pakistan, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Tunisia, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
