Hi guys! I'm Jana, my friends call me Jana Banana (you will know why).

I am an outgoing and adventurous girl who loves to laugh about stupid jokes and to make ones herself. On the other hand, I can also be calm and thoughtful and discuss the meaning of life with you. Or whether the stain on the ceiling looks like a cup of ice cream or a dolphin.

Meeting new people means a lot to me, for each one gives you his/her own energies and stories, and because it keeps you open-minded and tolerant.

I was born in Kazakhstan, but my family moved to Germany when I was 5. So I'm half German and half Russian. I would say, my heart and soul are Russian (warm, welcoming, caring) and my mind is German (analyzing, organized, correct... hahaha). Sometimes I also feel like an alien, but I think that's a good thing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My Couchsurfing account is new, for I usually used Airbnb. This time I travel alone, I wanna get to know locals and hang out with them (and their friends, if they're up to) to get a better understanding of the culture itself and aaaall the insider tips. It just will be less boring for me. And for you. :)

Interests

I love the beach, forests, seas, the sky, trees, flowers, animals, coming down. I also love the vibrant city, loud music, dancing, concerts, festivals, laughter, driving cars and bikes, markets and flea markets, art & street art...

Means: I can chill and hang out very well, and I can also party hard (remember the Russian genes). As I love Hip Hop, it's not only booze I like to get in the right mood with, if you know what I mean. ;) But I can also waive, no problem at all.

I'm in love with hip hop, rap, jazz, soul, funk, brazil, rnb, disco, electro, here and there also indie... and a lot more.
I like Tarantino, Coen brothers, Wes Anderson. My favorite movie is Léon: The Professional.
I don't read books, for there a very few which can take me on a journey AND keep me riding. I just lose interest as soon as it gets a bit boring. Sorry, books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Besides Europe, I travelled India, Russia, Colombia, and the US. The travel to USA has been won by me in a radio station, where I was held captive for 24 hours to prove I'm worth it (long story... :D). And: The trip included a helicopter flight. Awesome!

I can teach you how to be stupid and spontaneous, table tennis, mario kart & super mario world on SNES, and a lot more you will see when you get to know me. I love to learn from people and from the street. Here and there I read articles in magazines, so I have a superficial knowledge of everything and nothing, haha. I share moments, food, drinks, thoughts, smokes...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I bring a good mood, an open mind, curiosity, stories and fun. I can cook quite well and I can also clean. I show you good music and make you dance and sing. I'm a good listener, but also a good distractor. I AM WONDER WOMAN.
