About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi, my name's Jani and I'm from the Czech Republic. I love traveling and meeting new people but I'm also very proud of my country. It doesn't matter it's such a tiny republic with a little bit more than 10 millions people. I'm interested in studying of foreign languages 'cause I think it's the best way how to communicate with locals. Moreover, as many languages you know, as many times you are a human being, right? I speak a lot sometimes, no matter which language it is. For sure under the condition I know this language :) On one hand, I'm pretty friendly, I do love my friends and family, on the other hand, I'm busy all the time and you can't see me doing anything or being bored.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet new friends, speak foreign languages or just hang out. There is more reasons for sure.

Interests

As I already said I love traveling. My other hobbies are music, dancing (salsa, bachata), yoga, article writing, reading, and photography. And also taking care of my lovely younger sister.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can listen to many kinds of music and it also depends on my mood. I like old school music (Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin) but newest e.g. pop music hits are OK too. However, I prefer latino music for dancing, I'm a big fan of salsa, bachata, and latino dancing.

My favorite writers are Karel Čapek (Czech famous writer who created international word ROBOT, all together with his brother) and Roald Dahl (British novelist). Ernest Hemingway was the awesome writer for sure too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow! They have changed this box. Here used to be the question about three moments in life which were breathtaking. So I'm going to continue in this idea :)

One of these moments was when I was flying to NYC for the first time in January 2014. I saw Manhattan from the air and couldn't believe I wasn't dreaming but it was REALITY! :)

The second one which I would like to pick happened last summer. I was standing with my friend at Prague Castle enjoying the view of night Prague. He said: Wow, I hadn't had a clue Prague is so beautiful. Even the Cathedral is more glorious than the others and more famous ones. It's marvelous. You should be proud, this is YOUR city....Yes, he was right, I am really proud and grateful :))

At the end, I will try to answer to this current question. I think that everyone does amazing things but we even don't realize it. Amazing things happen when we help each other and when we make others happy.
