Overview
About Me
Hi, my name's Jana (who could tell) and I'm currently living in Prague. It took some time but eventually I have fallen in love with Prague and since I also love low-cost travelling, I'm happy to offer some space to sleep for you, when visiting Prague. I enjoy being a Prague nerd (learned a ton of interesting facts thanks to geocaching, Janek Rubeš (the Honest Guy), Adam Gebrian and other Prague enthusiasts) so if you ever need tips or a somewhat guide in Prague, let's connect! I'd appreciate knowing your favourite song (of all times or a recent one) as a sign you've read my profile at least to this part. Since CS is also about knowing each other, I'd like to filter soulless requests, thanks <3
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really like discovering foreign cultures while providing a safe place to stay. I'd also like to improve my language skills. My first experience with couchsurfing was wonderful. I was travelling with a friend of mine and I was literally amazed how easy we could find a bed to sleep and have a good time at the same time. I would also like to offer a good experience to someone else and make a trip a bit cheaper.
Interests
Learning new things is my most favourite hobby. I fell in love with geocaching since it's a nice way to brighten a day all around the world while learning something new. I also like music, I play some musical instruments, listening to music is a huge part of my life. Trekking, climbing, playing badmiton, baking, cooking, reading, jogging, you name it. I also somewhat try to be a proper Linux user.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music interest covers almost every genre except reggae. I'm a Rammstein fan, I also love Ludovico Einaudi and phonk is very much played in our household. I love Harry Potter films, but I suck in watching films, because I either don't have time for them or I fall asleep during watching. :D With books I'm currently a huge fan of going to a public library and grabbing something randomly.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Started my trekking adventures, where I grab my big Bertha (my backpack) and go. It all started in 2016? when I packed my stuff and went from my hometown Lázně Bělohrad to Prague. It took 119 km and two days, sleeping in a storm. I had no skill or gear whatsoever, but this thing started my outdoorsy journeys.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Czech, so you can flex with knowing words other than pivo :DD
I'm, as I've already said, a huge Prague nerd and I highly recommend using public transport, I can gladly help with that since I love everything about it. I also know places for sports, sightseeing, eating, drinking, cultural experiences…
On the other hand, I'm happy to get to know your interests. I discovered that as an atheist, I have really just a little knowledge about believing and I'd like to know your thoughts on your religion, if you have any. I also like to learn almost anything. I have a somewhat technical background for you IT pleople (Linux user here), architects and I guess I'm fine with learning new concepts. I also like to hear about ecology, philosophy… I'm a knowledge sponge!
