Hello :)

My name is Jana and I’m 27 years old. I’m from Germany (Cologne) and quitted my job in September 2022 to travel full time.

I always dreamt to travel the world and spend some months abroad. After finishing school I started my first long travel adventure and enjoyed it so much that I became travel-addicted.

After finishing University I immediately started working, but then after 2 years I decided to live my dream. That’s what I’m doing right now - Currently I’m on a worldtrip. I started my trip in Africa, then I’ve been to many countries in Asia, to Australia and at the moment I’m travelling Central America. My next and last destination will be the USA and I’m really excited!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling is my biggest passion. I love to learn a lot about the local culture and make friends all around the world. For me, staying with locals is the best way to really get to know the area and the culture. I also love to share experiences with people and to learn from each other. That’s why I love Couchsurfing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made sooo many great experiences around the world and especially the amazing people I met are definitely my favourite thing while travelling - everybody has their own story to share and I love how fast you can build a real connection and talk about your deepest thoughts and wishes.

On my current trip my first game drive flashed me completely. Seeing zebras, giraffes, monkeys, buffalo’s, hippos, lions and many other animals in real life was a unbelievable experience. I had not only one time a tear in my eyes.
