About Me
Hello World!
My name is Jana and ever since I got out of Germany I have the urge to travel the world :D Since my first confession is hereby made, a few more things about me: I grew up in a small town in the south of Germany untill the day came when school ended and it was my turn to go out into the world. My way lead me to India, lovely great big colourful chaotic India. I spent a life-changing year as a volunteer in the south of the country, near Pondicherry, in an international township called Auroville (which you have to visit and stay for a bit if you ever happen to be near). I also travelled in India when I had the chance and would love to go back to India one day....
Sooo, what have I been doing since returning?
Well... I've begun to study in Münster but in my free time I love to bake and cook vegan delicacies and take photos and sometimes even combine the two (yay foodporn!). I love everything artsy and making music alone or with friends (bonfires with guitars <3)
And at times I manage to continue to explore the rest of the world ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Of course if you want to travel you have to stay somewhere - but couchsurfing for me isn't only a platform for a cheap stay. By staying with somebody who knows the city (whichever it may be) I hope to get to know the place, the city, the country in a deeper way than just a touristic tour to look at all the hotspots. I want the insider tips, the real life, the real people!

Music, Movies, and Books
That's difficult, there is so much great stuff out there...
Though I have a special bond with Sherlock Holmes (I've read all of it and love the BBC series) and discovored Doctor Who recently and can't get enough of it!
But give me anything and I'll try it :D
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just one?!
First time travelling alone with a friend to Edinburgh Fringe and falling in love with the city and the festival... and travelling in general...
Living a life outside of the busy life in Germany with great friends in Auroville, India...
...There, standing under a waterfall with a rainbow around me like a hula hoop that would move with me...
Ehm, that was more than one, but rules are there to break them right ? :D
Teach, Learn, Share
I can't think of anything in particular... But I am happy to share any experiences or skills that might interest you :)
