I'm a 19 year old girl who's just finished school and is now living in Panama for a year. Here I'm volunteering in a childrens' home called Nutre Hogar focusing on malnourished children between 0-5 years. I'm living with a host family and enjoying to encounter the panamanian life style 🌎
In my freetime I love to read which I haven't done for a long time but now I have time again for that. I also like to watch series on Netflix about which I could talk endlessly. I love cooking and baking even though that seems harder here in Panama for no reason 😅
I love to write and receive letters and I collect postcards to put them on my wall so I'm always looking for a new pen pal! I would describe myself as very open-minded, friendly but sometimes also a bit sarcastic 🌸🍍

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe it's a great possibility to meet locals and encounter a culture totally different in a more profund way. In general I love meeting new people so the cultural exchange is just a nice extra!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to metal especially metalcore. My problem is that almost none of my friends listen to the music I like so I hardly find people to go on concerts or festivals with me D: My favorite band is definetely We Butter The Bread With Butter.. I know the name is a bit crazy :P However I enjoy other genres as well.
For books I really like reading novels and recently I've started to read some historic novels as well. But I also like fantasy at times. Just anything that incites my imagination!
So my time on the internet I spend on watching series. To name some of my favorites: Orange Is the New Black, Orphan Black, Sense8 and Jane the Virgin. But of course there are many more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Tanzania with school for two weeks to visit our partner school there. Even if we saw some horrible living conditions it was a pretty interesting and valuable experience and we spend some great time with the Tanzanian students as well :)
The interrail trip I've made with my best friend through Scandinavia after we finished high school. We had so many great experiences and it was also our first experience with surfing a couch :p
