About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Discovering the world and myself :) Learning from the people, whom I meet and cultural experiences. Now me and my friends are starting a youth project about human rights in Albania - so the current mission is to make it work and make someones' lives change to better.
ABOUT ME
I'm a curious, adventurous and creative person, who is open to new people and new cultural discoveries. You can find me wandering around the city with a camera, biking, playing volleyball, painting, snowboarding ... whatever that makes everyday life bright and full of inspiration :)
I've graduated from a fancy programme in International Economics and Investment in Yekaterinburg, Russia. But after almost a year of work in the bank, I understood that I want to do totally different and more socially-oriented things in my life. That time became the start of the most amazing changes in my live - I applied to the M.A. in Human Rights in Moscow, was accepted and soon enough after its start was invited to the M.A. in the same field in the University of Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During that year I fell in love with the Balkans, started to learn Dobar-Danskij (diplomatic approach to name all South-Slavic languages at once)) and Albanian. Almost two years ago I moved to Kosovo and afterwards - to Albania, where I currently live with my boyfriend.
I'm involved in the youth activities in Albania and at the European level as a human rights trainer and projects coordinator. It is also the main reason why I travel a lot - and get inspiration to travel even more :) Personal experience is the best way to challenge stereotypes and I totally admire it. Each time I am in a new country, I am trying to learn some basic words - it's a great way to enrich your experiences there and train your memory.
PHILOSOPHY
My motto is "Nothing is impossible!" & "Whatever happens-happens 4 better!"
I am optimist until the very last cell of my brains, curious to discover new people and places. I believe that by opening the world around us we open ourselves to the world and learn ourselves better than ever. In the last couple of years I understood that nothing is impossible and every day is a great proof of it - just follow your heart and Carpe diem) I like challenges because they make life more interesting and you - more creative in dealing with any kind of unexpected situations. From my personal experience, somehow, I meet the most interesting people when I'm stuck with some challenge))
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
You are always welcome to contact me to walk around the city and to see some amazing things that are out of popular touristic routes. I am an interesting person to talk with and discover non-touristic (and touristic as well) places while travelling and a hospitable host if you catch me at home :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I studied in Sarajevo, my flat was open to quite a number of CSs from all over the world - with some of them we became really good friends and stay in touch even after 2 years. Since I moved to Albania, unfortunately, I cannot host people, but in most cases I am available to accompany you for the city tour and to show around.
Interests
Foreign languages, travelling, human rights and artivism (artistic responses to human rights abuses and social injustice), parachute jumps, volleyball, snowboarding, biking, hiking and painting.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love deep and inspiring movies, like "The butterfly circus," "A beautiful mind," "Requiem for a dream," though quite often you can find me watching Pixar cartoons and "Futurama."
Music can be different-from never-old Ace of Bace and Scorpions to Rammstein and club music -it all depends on the mood, though the only thing that can always capture me is sounds of guitar.
Speaking about books, I prefer Malcolm Gladwell, Murakami, Russian poetry of the early 1920s, though recently was happy to re-read Harry Potter with my younger brother :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mmm...what describes my character most of all..before as many people i was afraid of height (quite annoying thing:) - so three years ago i said to myself "Basta!" and jumped with a parachute without instructor :) Now addicted to this feeling and dreaming about professional parachuting.
Teach, Learn, Share
Currently i am working with human rights education and constantly learning from it myself. I travel a lot and will be gald to share my numerous travelling experiences around Eastern Europe, Balkans and Kyrgyzstan. My interests lay in many spheres, so we'll always find the topic to discuss. I am curious to learn new languages and will be happy to help you with useful phrases in Russian or Albanian - while, I'll be thankful to learn more of German and Spanish. I'm painting and if you want, you can get a small drawing for memories :)
