ABOUT ME

Hey, I'm Jana, a 19-year old German girl. I finished high school last year and decided that I hadn't learned a lot about real life in all that time. So I went to New Zealand for one year to change that, trying to make as many new experiences as possible, get to know a lot of different people and their ways of thinking and hopefully make some new friends. Best decision of my life so far! Now I'm back home in Germany, working for a bit and looking forward to go on the next adventure :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A few years ago, a good friend and I spent one week in Rome,Italy where we met friendly, open-minded and crazy people and experienced so many things that still make us laugh today. We couldn't believe how hospitable those people were, trusting us without even really knowing us and taking so much time to show us the most beautiful places of their home city.

Interests

I love nature and animals, spending whole days outside, the sea, travelling and discovering new places, food :D, learning new languages, cycling, hiking, swimming and playing volleyball (although I'm not the most sporty person and therefore not really good at it :D), reading, dancing...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My work and travel adventure in New Zealand. I experienced a lot of awesome things there, like exploring underground lava caves filled with water without a guide and just holding a torch in my mouth or helping to run a small hostel in the Bay of Islands. And I'm really excited to find out what will happen next! :D
