About Me

I'm a very open-minded person and welcoming to new people. I love a good laugh, listening to stories, tell one or two myself while drinking a glass of red or a good beer. I love our planet, that's why I do lots of out-door stuff like kayaking, hiking and climbing. But that's also why I care about the environmet, since I've seen a fair bit of environmental destruction. I mostly eat vegetarian and try to also cut down on other animal products. This year I decided not to fly within Europe anymore and rather do my travelling by trains and busses.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is a terrific website that lets me believe in the good in people. In my opinion it is the best way to get to know a place and some of its people. I always loved hosting whenever I had the time to welcome somebody and I've made some great friends in the cities I lived in via Couchsurfing.

Interests

My life is full of music! I like to sing while I play guitar or the piano, I used to play cello in an orchestra and bass-guitar in a band, however since living in Munich I haven't found the time to play in groups.
I love history, art, running, kayaking, hiking and the Beatles.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Beatles are pretty high up amongst my favourite bands, as well as music like the Crystal Fighters or Sufjan Stevens that are pure joy listening to. I'm pretty open to new stuff and my taste of music depends pretty much on the time of the day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Estonia on exchange in Autumn & Winter 2014. I came back with a bunch of great friends and a girlfriend from Australia that has meanwhile moved to Munich to live with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook you dinner, play some music in your living room, teach you a bit of German, give you a history lecture and tell you the story of how Forest Gump died.
