Hello
My name is Ján and I come from quite small but wonderful country Slovakia. I have lived 15 years in the capital city of eastern part of Slovakia- Košice and not much ago (autumn 2015) I have moved to Copenhagen because of my studies, where I would probably stay for the following 2,5 years to finish my IT study program at Aalborg University Copenhagen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

...one day, a few months ago my friend introduced me to his friend from Turkey. A week later he introduced me to his another friend from USA....I agreed to hang out with them and I had a nice time with them....I was really curious where does he know the people from and how long they already know each other. The answer was Couchsurfing! That's why I decided to become a member of Couchsurfing, so I would be able to meet new (crazy) people from culture varying countries with lots of experiences to share. Even more I like traveling, but unfortunately by now I have been traveling mostly within Slovak borders, what I would like to change. From my hosts I expect not only room where to stay over night, but also kind of entertainment, maybe tour guide across the surroundings and new friend... :)

Interests

Probably, I am the most competitive person in the world. Because of that, I have already tried almost all existing sports, maybe even those which are not invented yet :( , and if you think I have not tried the sport you have on your mind, just let me know!! And we would maybe try it together ...therefore mostly my interests are different sports, but the one which I have already played for 13 years is football! The #2 is volleyball and who cares about my height :D
...of course I am not interested only in sports :D ... I am also mathematical genius...at least my mom says :3 ... Regarding materialistic things I am interested in world of technology such as computers, smartphones or fast cars...oh I almost forgot, that I also play musical instrument - trumpet!! Not only alone but also in brass orchestra. It can be pretty noisy sometimes...my neighbors would tell you :D

Music, Movies, and Books

As long as I play trumpet, you would say that I probably listen to jazz music or Mexican trumpets... Mistake, as I listen to every kind of music, even more the music/sounds of nature in mornings while I am camping with my friends :) ...
...if you gave me option to choose between Harry Potter book or movie...I would definitely see the movie.. Why? Thick books are scaring me :D ... Furthermore I try to save trees by watching movies :D (Bulls**t I know)... And genres which I prefer are adventures, actions, road movies, student movies and comedies in general...recently I have seen my favorite movie "The secret life of Walter Mitty" (with Ben Stiller) several times... I also like series of "Game of Thrones" and "Futurama" :D
...if I had to say which book I really liked, I would say books by Ernest Hemingway...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing that I have done? Seriously? Seriously only one? :D ... When we meet, if you ask me what amazing things have I done, you would maybe have to listen to me a few whole days :D ... But one which was the first to come on my mind would be walk through forest, plains, abandoned castle... near small Slovak city (in UNESCO list) called Bardejov. Maybe it's not that interesting for you but!! It happened in August, few years ago. Group of students went for a trip, but we decided to go during night, we started our journey just before sunset and we were walking all night long only with pause at the castle where we set fire to heat ourselves and continued until following sunrise... The sky was all night clear so moon and stars were our light and it was wonderful to observe it as it is moving from east to west... Also when we realised that sun set down in front of us and came up behind... But what was so remarkable about it? We had no phones, no maps, no GPS... The only orientation spots were the stars....

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach? I can teach you some Slovak phrases :D but remember, it's gonna be tough :D
I would like to learn new languages or improve already spoken languages...as it is so nice when you meet some new people from different countries and you are able to speak their language :) but of course by the time I master other languages it is more fun now to try to understand other people's gestures instead of words :D
...if somebody is interested in listening to crazy stories, I am willing to share mine with him/her.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My dear future Host! During my stay with you, you would experience unforgettable experience ;). If you join me in craziest things I would like to do/try, you may get arrested or d... :D just poor joke :D do not worry, I'll try my best not to cross a line ;)... Also as you probably already figured out, I am Slovak, which is a Slavic race and the race is well known for its hospitality and generosity so when we meet, you can expect some (sample of) Slovak food (if I still have some), whose taste would make you want to visit Slovakia and try the food at least once again ;)...
