CURRENT MISSION
To live life to the fullest while helping others...Karma Travels!
ABOUT ME
We are a happily married couple. We love the outdoors and enjoy backpacking, cycling, yoga, and rock climbing. We are now on a two year trip around the world, stopping in South Korea for a year to teach English and to learn Korean. We spent 3 months traveling in South America, volunteering everywhere we went. Our favorite experiences have been working at a special needs school in Peru and working with sea turtles in Costa Rica. We are now on our way to volunteer in Uganda!
PHILOSOPHY
A small ripple can travel for miles ~ Karma Travels
Do what you can to help the people around you.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We promote the CS Project by offering a couch to use as well as staying with generous hosts. We also have introduced a number of people to CSing and ensure the values of surfers are upheld by new guests(really important!). We have been to a few CS gatherings and have met great people from all over the world! What else can I say? CS is great!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have had an amazing experience thus far with Couch Surfing. From learning how to make traditional Hawaiian bamboo instruments to kayak lessons and swimming with sea turtles, we have had great memory after great memory thanks to our hosts. A few memories: We toured Beijing in style, checking out the VIP rooms of high class clubs in China's capitol thanks to our CS host, Barry. We dove the Red Sea recently with a great host - Omar! We have also hosted very nice people with whom we have shared interesting conversations, dinners, and outings.

Algo increíble que he hecho
Machu Picchu in Peru is truly an amazing sight to behold. How people hundreds of years ago could have created such a community is beyond words. However, the ruins at Choqequirao are possibly even more awe inspiring, as is the view. The 42km trail to the ruins starts in a little town called Cachora two hours outside of the Cuzco. Snow covered, 18,000 ft peaks and deep valleys outline a spectacular vista.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
Did you know the technology exists today to completely overhaul the entire developed world's power grid and make it sustainable for future generations... not to mention prevent countless deaths and billions of dollars of waste? The only thing lacking is the will of citizens to demand this change. People have become too comfortable in our "throw away" culture to worry about future generations. "Give it to me now" has become our world's motto. Do your part to move towards a brighter future for our generation, our children, and future generations beyond.
