Hallo Couchsurfers!

I am from sunny Cape Town, South Africa, where there is an amazing variety of outdoor activities, from hiking around Table Mountain, to surfing the blue waters of Camps Bay.
I studied law and practiced as an attorney for the last two years, however, I quickly came to realize that being confined in an office is not how I intend to spend the rest of my life. So I have recently decided to take an early retirement, travel the world, learn new languages and experience new cultures.

I am planning to go teach English in Thailand from October 2018 and travel as much as my salary and holidays allow me to.

Hopefully I will meet you guys along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am planning to travel around Thailand (from Bangkok towards the South) for 3 - 4 weeks, while searching for the perfect (if it exists) English teaching job.
Instead of staying in hostels and hotels, I thought it will be a much better experience to stay with fellow couchsurfers, who can teach me the ways of Thai culture and give me advice for my journey.
