Overview
About Me
I'm a gal who loves a good drink in a bar with friends, noshing on veggies and lookin' too fool for school on the dance floor. A little afloat in life at the moment (but then again, aren't we all just colliding particles?). One day I hope to floss on the daily, but this has proved too lofty a goal so I'll settle for baby steps.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'll confess, I'm a bit of a novice traveler. This is the very first year I've lived abroad, and the first time I've ever taken myself on vacation. The results have been...thrilling to messy. But mostly I've found that this world is full of crazy cool nutso wonderful people, and it's more fun to meet them than not. So I'm on couch surfing to meet some of you weirdos, and when I have place to call home in the future, I hope you come to meet me too and I'll pour you a very generous glass of whisky.
Interests
FOOD. Vegetarian. Lots of sweets. In fact I'm attending culinary school next fall! So if you have a recipe to share I would love to learn it, we can swap tips (if you add a beaten egg white to pancake batter they will come out gloriously fluffy, there you have my greatest secret).
Writing. It's what I did in school, and I still do it now, on a more personal basis. Creative nonfiction, and one day I'll write a book about my terribly boring life and no one will read it which will probably be for the best.
Yoga: I'm not that great at it, but a few back bends and spinal twists in the morning sure feel swell.
Piano: played classical throughout college, still tickle the ivories when there's a piano lying around.
Book binding: I frickin love making handmade books. I give them to everyone for Christmas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I learned how to make a crepe cake last year and life hasn't been the same since. I also ate a cricket once, but it was in a classroom environment so that's not too exciting.
Teach, Learn, Share
Culture is best shared through the stomach, so let's swap recipes! Also stories, I'd really love to hear the strangest thing that's ever happened to you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food, wine, and good spirits and fun! I'm always up for checking out a bar, staying in for a jam sesh, or playing a rousing game of Heads Up.
