Hello! My name is Jane and I am about to complete the last semester of my undergraduate degree in Sociology and Global Studies at Tartu University in Tartu, Estonia. I wanted to study abroad on my last semester so that I would have the chance to travel before returning to the US. I first came to Europe in 2016, unfortunately, I didn't have a very good experience as I was having difficulties with depression and traveling alone for the first time was very difficult for me. So, now that I have a second chance, I'm looking forward to meeting people, eating food, and enjoying the moments I have in the cities I will visit.
I love cats! I also enjoy cooking (recently learned how to make Korean Vegetable Pancake), I practice mindfulness and awareness, and having conversations with people about a range of topics-- I try very hard to stay away from personal politics, but I'm interested in global topics (especially the ones I don't know very much about, I enjoy learning new things!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet people who would like to meet me! I think staying with someone who lives in the area I would like to visit will not only provide me with tips about that location and traveling, but good company and will share stories of some of their life experiences with me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lana Del Rey, Father John Misty, The Temples, Tame Impala, I don't listen to music THAT frequently to be honest... but I enjoy a wide range of it. I like movies that are thought-provoking, explore a part of history, have intriguing plots with good actors. I'm thinking, Cabret, The Kings Speech, Moonrise Kingdom...
Books, I loved I Capture the Castle. I also read Pema Chödrön, Haruki Murakami...
