I am retired from the medical profession, now trying to live close to the land and keep up with the "Not Quite Homestead." In addition, I like to hike, bike, jog, have recently taken up guitar, and I am now on a more spiritual path, involved with Sufism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

--'the incredible, changing beauty all around me; tht stars at night, visible to the treeline, the larches changing in the Fall, the white snow on the mountainside, with green moss visible underneath
--I have seen perfection great and small;
The snowy alps, a horse run wild,
A single flower in a garden wall.
But the most perfect of all was
In the night, in dim light,
The face of my sleeping child.
