About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Professionally: to build community support for physically active lifestyles and healthful eating. Personally, to keep it simple. Eat great food, meet interesting people, have fun, play soccer.

ABOUT ME

I like being social; personally and professionally. Collaborative environments with family, friends and colleagues inspire me to achieve more than I ever imagined. Together we can do more than any one person alone. Thinking as a community in all areas of life is my dream of success.

PHILOSOPHY

I look for the good (and less good) in just about everything. I think that one's perception of a good thing can be very different from another's.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted more than I've surfed and have really enjoyed all of it! Also have done some CS events and they've been fun, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met folks from all over the world and it's been fantastic to share stories. I really like to hear about life/culture in other parts of the US and abroad.

Interests

Soccer, soccer, soccer, hiking, snowboarding, surfing once I get burly arms to paddle out (lol). Healthy and sustainable communities, access to physically active lifestyles.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: recently, American Hustle, Invictus and Waiting for Superman, loved them! Music: Punk/pop punk, trance, dance. Books: mostly reading textbooks for school, but enjoyed City of Thieves recently.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My brother's amazing children and the miracle of birth, life and development of the ideas we call humans.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to listen and discus personal experiences, culture and explore the local "scene" or neighborhood. I'm interested in opinions of healthy environments and gaining others view on how it can be better.

I'm also handy in the kitchen and not afraid to get a little messy in a vegetable garden, especially since after all is said and done, the products are edible and delicious! Oh and I clean up pretty well too.

I can play a few chords on guitar, or would love to kick, throw or bump/set/spike the relevant sporting balls around in an effort to do a little recreating!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a beautiful fried egg! Also a mean guacamole.

Countries I’ve Visited
