ABOUT ME

I'm quite serious, but I do like to have fun. I like engaging conversation and finding ways to be helpful for others.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life in faith; trying to be conscious of what God wants me to do for those around me ...more than my selfish nature ;) I do get satisfaction out of helping someone in some way that they really stand in need. This attitude can be applied at work, with neighbors, friends, strangers... whoever. And it can be quite a challenge at times!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Being spanking new to CouchSurfing, my experience is reading about people who live their lives well and have great stories to share!

Interests

I like learning new things, being outdoors, seeing new places. I walk, hike, bike, dance, play tennis (badly), badminton, volleyball, and whatever I can find to do.
I've volunteered in various capacities through the years.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love dance-able music, specifically salsa, merengue, cumbia, bachata; disco, and clean hip-hop comes after that.
Movies: Rear Window, Man in the Iron Mask, My Blue Heaven, others.
Books: scriptures and other spiritual readings. (I have a hard time reading for fun... I read to learn.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The beauty of the greenery growing on the mountains with evolving fall colors, topped with white clouds which partially flowed down along the high ridges of the mountain range.
I graduated on the Dean's list from college -- that was something in which I amazed myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like the "teach, learn, share" philosophy on CouchSurfing; I believe each individual has new and meaningful experiences in which I can benefit from hearing or experiencing through them.
Laughing... although I'm an excellent writer, my life-experience expertise would be in persevering through difficult life challenges, hanging on to my solid, yet incomplete knowledge about God.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have been to all of the national and state parks in Utah at least once. I know Salt Lake City well and regularly take advantage of the warm-weather activities such as concerts, films, festivals, hikes, etc. Lots and lots to do here.
