ABOUT ME

I love to spend as much time outdoors as possible, with friends, making friends, exploring, adventuring, eating, laughing, catching the wind, catching the whitewater, jumping over fences, contributing to the world and having a grand old time.
Though I can have a fabulous time in the city and miss it when I gone for a long time, I am much more content being active outside in more rural places.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that life should be enjoyed, shared with people you care about and doing things you love - working hard and playing hard. I believe in team work, contributing and giving back to the community.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couch surfed in France and England and had an absolutely fantastic experience. I never want to travel any other way again! I am happy to host when I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sun set over Glacier Peak in the Cascade mountains in Washington state.
-After conquering Glacier (whos weather gave us a run for our money) we hiked away from it for several days and did not see it. One evening we climbed the glacier we were staying on to see the sunset and Glacier Peak rose out of the Cascades like a snowy story book mountain rimmed in sunset gold. In the quiet of that evening,leagues away from all other civilization looking over miles and miles of peaceful mountains made me feel on top of the world even at a mere 8 or 9 thousand feet. It was a peaceful happy moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share my passion for the outdoors and expose people to things out there that are new and exciting. I enjoy cooking especially recently have been cooking more. I LOVE food and would love to share a meal with someone I host or my host. People seem to think it is cool I speak sign language and though it is only signed (American) English and I am not fluent I would be happy to share that with you! I can knit and have taught/helped many people with that! I have also taught sailing, horseback riding and whitewater kayaking.
