About Me

I love to travel and want to experience it all. I am a mom, wife, and diverse individual. I volunteer with many organizations especially with youth sports, reading, and education. I love all sports but gymnastics, soccer (Football), and Basketball are my favorites. We have 2 kayaks and use them every time we are near water. I enjoy travel of all kinds -- to the beach for a relaxing holiday, to the amusement park for daring adventure and whimsy, and to new landscapes with beauty of nature. I enjoy baking but I do not enjoy cooking. I want to see the world in different ways.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to couchsurfing but love the concept of meeting fellow travelers and staying with locals. What a fantastic opportunity to discover an authentic destination!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all varieties of music including (but not limited) to classical, rock, heavy metal, country, and pop. My favorite books are fiction of the more uplifting and lighthearted category. I enjoy Harry Potter Series. Movies tend to be the same, lighthearted and uplifting. I have watched my fair share of superhero movies as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't narrow it down to one thing! Most Amazing is always my family, raising a strong and compassionate son with my husband is pretty amazing. I also was a competitive gymnast from the age of 5-15 then I coached gymnastics thereafter. I was the first female to pole vault at my high school. I have traveled more than I thought possible and explored more than I imagined I could. I volunteered to chaperone a group of special needs adults through a 5 day Disneyland vacation -- what an adventure! I think I learned more than they did and am very grateful to have been allowed the opportunity to experience their trip with them. I also completed my first few mud run obstacle course races and am very proud to have survived them!

Teach, Learn, Share

I constantly teach, learn, and share. I am amazed at the new things I learn each day and love to help others discover something new. I tend to be hesitant to try new things and enjoy a guide to help me through the initial experience. As mentioned above I enjoy kayaking and love to share this experience with others. Although hesitant to try something new, my desire to explore always triumphs my hesitation! I am currently learning about gardens and how to maintain them. We grow pumpkins and have several apple tress and plants scattered around our property.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I tend to be a positive person and am very appreciative of those people willing to share their experience with me. I hope I can share great conversation and a sincere appreciation for the effort putforth by a host. I/We do not smoke and feel we are respectful of others. We try to be flexible. I tend to ask a LOT of questions and do a lot of research which may come in handy in some areas too.
