About Me
ABOUT ME
Hi! I am an artist, a college art instructor, and gallery coordinator at a local non-profit art space in Richmond. Keeping busy!
I love traveling whenever I have time... weekend trips, month long trips, all of it!
My favorite part is meeting new people and getting a feel for a place beyond the tourist attractions, hearing more about what it's like to live there.
PHILOSOPHY
We are all a lot less different than we tend to think we are.
Honesty is the best policy!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed a few times, and have hosted a number of times while I was living in Miami. The first time I surfed was 4 years ago in Richmond where I live now. I've also surfed in Reykjavik, Amsterdam, and Berlin! When in Berlin and Amsterdam I was also surfing with my boyfriend, Tyler. It was his first time surfing and he loved it! I have had great experiences so I plan to continue hosting and surfing.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a number of guests in Miami and had a great time hanging out and meeting each of them! I love the idea and philosophy behind couchsurfing. It makes it very easy to meet likeminded people! The times I've surfed myself, my hosts have always been lovely and I often spend the evening hours hanging out and chatting with them.
Interests
I enjoy being outdoors, spending time at the river, hiking, swimming, playing frisbee and spending time in parks, cycling everywhere, going to art museums and galleries, board games, grabbing a drink or some coffee on a nice day or even a rainy one. I also love to dance! And of course I enjoy nights in too with good friends, chatting, or a movie.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything by Chantal Akerman and Fellini's 8 1/2 are definitely highlights, but I always have a hard time making these lists because I enjoy so many different things.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have driven across the country (FL-California along the south and back through the north) and traveled to Europe (Iceland, Spain, The Netherlands, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, England). These were all amazing experiences for their own reasons.
Teach, Learn, Share
I hate that I don't know a second language yet. I'm working on learning Spanish as a second language and hoping I'll be pretty well on my way by the time I plan a trip to Argentina!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking! I love to cook and can also help with any English skills you'd like to practice. I'm also relatively knowledgable about art, photography, filmmaking... so I can teach you some tech stuff too!
