ABOUT ME
Life. What a ride. So much to do, see, experience. I'm trying to take in as much as I can! As a 33 yr old marketing and events professional who has always worked since I was 17, I now find myself embarking on a huge life change. I just quit my corporate job to travel, reflect and figure out what my next career move will be. Scary, mind-blowingly nerve-wracking, but exciting.
I love to travel, consider myself easy to get along with, a bit goofy; a tad silly, but, hey, who wants to be serious ALL the time? I love to read, but also like to get out and have a glass of wine and chat with a friend old or new.
My boyfriend and I live together and are both easy going, amiable people.
PHILOSOPHY
I have thus far been very traditional - worked full time putting myself through college, always working traditional jobs. Now, I find myself at a place in life where I threw caution to the wind and am looking to live. Really live. My boyfriend is in a profession where we are tied to Columbus for the next few years. Afterward, though, he wants to pack it up and move. Preferably out west. So, I will be taking some time from the corporate marketing grind and checking out some places we think would be cool to call home someday. This is where you can help - I may be begging of you your couch!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Newbie! Let the adventure begin. I will be taking a four-week trip out west in October/November and looking to couchsurf along the way. Once I return, we'll be opening our house as hosts. Pay it forward, right?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Proud to say that I have officially booked my first surfing stay in Fort Collins, CO!
Interests
Reading (voraciously!; cycling; boxing; J (my boyfriend); my close friends and family; Stella (our cat). Skiing, hiking, traveling. Learning new things, meeting new people. Experiencing new, well, experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
All the books! I read everything from England in the 1500s to Gone Girl (surely you've heard of it). Pretty much everything but westerns and romance novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
J is much more the world traveler and has experiences that have fundamentally changed him. Wasteful? Don't come here. I have traveled much for my career but less for pleasure. Practical limitations, I suppose.
Amazing? For me, going on a solo vacation in April 2013 to quote-unquote find myself after my mom, who was my best friend, suddenly passed away in Oct. 2012. I was lost without her - and still am, if I'm honest. I had never traveled alone on that level. It was a life-altering trip. A week alone with yourself and your thoughts is good for any soul - no matter the life situation!
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't know what we offer by way of teaching, but we are both pretty easy-going. Politics? No thanks. Change the world? Go for it, but let's find something else to talk about. I am of Christian faith; my boyfriend is more spiritual. We are tolerant but law-abiding.
