About Me
Hey there, I'm Janelle! I'm a 20 year old (it says 27 on my profile because when I made my Facebook when I was 11, I put that I was born in 1990 so that I was older and it would let me make a profile -- hahah) recent post grad from California, USA. I love food and eating and exploring. I'm spending the rest of the traveling and taking a break from school and work before buckling down to start my career in International Business and moving onto higher education.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've recently graduated university and am off to give myself a well deserved break to travel the world. Current travel plans: 10 European Countries + 3 U.S. States from Sept. 4th to October 15th! And then I’m off to travel to Asia for all of November.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I listen to a variety of music genres -- Indie, Pop, Rap, EDM. I like a little bit of everything and love hearing new music recommendations from people. Some of my faves are Coldplay, Paramore, Foster the People, and Young the Giant.
Movies: I'm a sucker for chick flicks and romantic comedies. They can always put me in a good mood. Especially ones in the early 2000s. I just watched "To All the Boys I've Loved" and really liked it! #PeterKavinsky Some other faves though are 27 Dresses, She's the Man, and of course the classic...Mean Girls.
Books: I've read so many books that I can't even recall all of them at this point. Some stand outs for me were definitely To Kill a Mockingbird, The Wedding, and Blindness. I read a lot of teen fiction books growing up, but now that I'm an "adult," (ha ha) I'm trying to get really into more classic literature and mature books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I started university at age 17 and graduated with my International Studies, International Business major in 3 years. By the last year of college, I was working almost full time and taking full units for a student and still finished in time this last June.
I also take pride in the fact that I'm deathly afraid of heights and can't swim, but I still managed to jump off a cliff into the middle of the ocean and survive. Will I do it again? Who knows.
